HRT with less stroke risk

New research carried out at Copenhagen University has found that women taking hormone tablets had an increased risk of a stroke, but those on a HRT plaster or gel patch did not.

It may be that when medication is absorbed through the skin – directly entering the bloodstream without having to be processed by the liver – the risk of blood clots is reduced. Follow the link below for the full article.
