Edition 1: October 2017
Welcome to Hormone Health’s first newsletter
I am writing to let you know about a number of improvements to my practice in London. Over the past months the practice has been become increasingly busy, therefore, I have recently teamed up with a number of fellow specialists, all of whom I have either worked with or trained. This will make it easier for you to have an appointment within a few weeks.
Our approach to your health is not just about the immediate issues you are facing, but also to look after your overall wellbeing. As such, we have also expanded the number of services on offer at the Harley Street practice and have developed a website hormonehealth.co.uk to not only give you information about the practice, but also to be an information resource. The first article about the menopause is now online, but check in for further updates.
At Hormone Health, our specialists pride themselves on offering personalised, evidence based advice, backed by research and guidelines thus creating tailored individualised treatment plans for each woman.
The most common tests we use are blood profiles, which can give us great insight into your health. In addition, we are able to offer an in-house bone scanning service.
DEXA bone scans are often used to diagnose or assess someone’s risk of osteoporosis, a condition that weakens bones and increases the risk of breakage.
You may wish / need to have a DEXA scan if you are:
- over 50 years of age wishing to know their risk of developing osteoporosis
- under 50 with other risk factors – such as early menopause, smoking, a previous fracture, family history of osteoporosis
More information about these tests is available in our website.
If you would like to discuss these investigations, please call us on 0207 034 1303 or you can complete the self-referral form and email / post to us.
I am very conscious that you may not wish to receive our regular emails, if this is the case, please click on the Unsubscribe link at the bottom of this email and we’ll remove you from our list of contacts.
Hopefully this will not be the case and we look forward to keeping you up to date with future news.
Kind regards
