About the congress

Organised by the International Federation of Gynaecology and Obstetrics in partnership with the South African Society of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists, the congress will bring together over 8,000 global experts to advance women’s health under the theme ‘Advancing Women’s Health: a Journey of Unity and Freedom’.

The event will feature a comprehensive scientific program covering key topics such as postpartum haemorrhage, cervical cancer prevention, and sexual and reproductive health and rights, with a focus on fostering collaboration, evidence-based practice, and equitable healthcare access, particularly highlighting the unique challenges faced in Africa and the Eastern Mediterranean regions.

Keynote speaker

Professor Nick Panay is among the world’s leading speakers and will be sharing his insights at the Congress on Sunday, 5 October on ‘Efficacy of Elinzanetant for natural, surgical, or endocrine therapy-associated menopause symptoms’, and on Tuesday, 7 October, he will deliver a talk titled ‘The Latest Evidence on Premature Ovarian Insufficiency’ as part of the session ‘Navigating the Crossroads in Women’s Healthy Longevity’.
